The Southern District Cricket Club is pleased to announce the arrival of Josh Hen-Boisen for the 2024/25 season.

Josh, 18, is a promising left-arm orthodox bowler, and joins us this season as a part of the UK's Root Academy.

Over the English summer, Josh played in the County 2nd XI Championship for the Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and impressed on multiple occasions with performances such as 5/17 against Nottinghamshire and 3/11 against Surrey.

We welcome Josh to the club and wish him all the best for the season ahead!

The season gets underway this weekend with all senior grades looking to start their season off on a high, with one day games across the board.

The 1st Grade take on Glenelg at Park 25 on Sunday, whilst the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Grades clash with Adelaide Uni.

The newly introduced under 17 competition will also begin this weekend, with a one day game against Adelaide at Bice Oval on Sunday.

There are a number off new and returning faces across the senior squad this season and we congratulate all those who are making their senior debut, or club debut this weekend.
 

SDCC 2024/25 SEASON LAUNCH

Sunday September 29th | 2:00pm | Bice Oval

We welcome all players and parents to our 2024/25 Season Launch. Starting at 2pm there will be a free sausage sizzle and the bar will be open. There will be mini games on the oval and in the clubrooms as well as important information for players and parents about the season ahead.

There is no pressure to stay all afternoon and we would love to see everyone down at the club even if you only have a spare 10 or 20 minutes to pop in.

The Southern District Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Jake Marnie will be joining us for the 2024/25 season.

Originally from Adelaide, Jake is a quality batsman who has been living in Victoria where he played over a decade of Victorian Premier Cricket for both Kingston-Hawthorn CC and Camberwell Magpies CC.

In his time at these two clubs Jake played over 60 1st Grade Matches.

Jake has more recently played for Croydon CC 1st XI in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association.

We look forward to seeing Jake's impact this year and the experience he can bring to our young and exciting first grade squad.
