Juniors

Southern District Cricket Club have fielded junior teams in SACA's Premier Cricket Competition since early 1980s. Currently fielding sides in T20, One-Day and Two-Day competitions in the following grades:

  • Under 18 Shield
  • Under 17
  • Under 15.5
  • Under 14
  • Under 13
  • Ray Sutton Shield

Southern District Cricket Club is dedicated to the growth and development of junior cricketers in the Southern area. The Under 11 Academy, previously the Gary Putland Youth Cricket Academy has been running for a number of years, supporting the development of talented young male and female cricketers. In addition, a girls-only junior development academy will be offered to interested girls in the area.

Our Junior Boys teams currently train on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Bice Oval, Christies Beach from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Under 17 Matches are held on Sunday afternoons with the rest of the junior grades being held on Saturdays.

Trials for these squads are usually held post-season or held in the winter at Gillespie Sports.

U14 Whites Soar into Semi-Finals

The Stingrays are in the Finals!

Our U14 Whites take on Kensington in a Semi Final over the next two weekends at Park 25. The side captained by Joel Howell and coached by Marty Clifton finished second on the table after the regular season to qualify.

The club congratulates them on what they have done thus far, as well as wishes them all the best over the next two weekends as they look for a win.
